The classic Leitz 50mm viewfinder, SBOOI. Later known by the code 12015.
This example features the 5cm marking and is an early version with lowercase engravings.

As with many standard Leitz accessories, there are numerous variations of the SBOOI—more than eight types known at our shop alone. This particular piece has a chrome eyepiece, a single fixing screw under the shoe, and knurled grips on both sides of the finder body. It is one of the more commonly seen variants among SBOOI models.

A masterpiece viewfinder by Leitz, full of simple functional beauty. The viewing experience is simply superb.

There is a small scratch near the 5cm engraving on the front side. Minor signs of use such as light scuffs and shallow marks can also be seen on the shoe mount and the knurled side sections, but overall the finder remains in reasonably good cosmetic condition.

The glass is free from haze and scratches, delivering a beautifully clear and crisp view. You can fully enjoy the excellent visibility characteristic of the SBOOI.

Simply looking through it makes the world appear brighter and more vivid. Taking it out for shooting will surely lift your motivation.
