A standard Leitz 50mm viewfinder. Product code SBOOI, later renamed 12015.
This example is the later version with 50mm marking and uppercase engraving. It has a more modern look and is the commonly seen type.
As with many classic Leitz accessories, the SBOOI exists in numerous variations—at least eight are known to us. This one features knurled grip panels on both sides, a black-painted eyepiece, and a single retaining screw beneath the shoe.

Overall, it shows clear signs of use. There are small scratches and a minor dent around the WETZLAR engraving, small scratches near the 50mm marking, and some paint loss on the black finish around the eyepiece. There is also a small chip at the lower edge of the front glass, but it does not enter the frame lines and has no effect on viewing performance.
The view is bright and clear, and the excellent viewing experience unique to the SBOOI remains intact. Pair it with a well-worn body or enjoy it as a practical, everyday finder.
