With the newly designed second generation, rendering at wide apertures became noticeably sharper. While retaining the distinctive Summilux character, it delivers a more stable and consistent image. It has become one of the representative Leica lenses enjoying renewed popularity in recent years.

Despite being a large-aperture f1.4 lens, it remains relatively lightweight and compact at just 286g in actual measurement.
The black-finished exterior pairs beautifully with modern mirrorless cameras as well as digital Leica M bodies. A truly all-round performer and the quintessential standard lens from Leitz.

This is an item previously sold by our shop and has now returned after being carefully used by a customer.
There is some minor paint loss on the edge of the barrel from attaching and removing the hood, but the aperture ring and focusing ring show little wear and remain clean.
Although the lens was serviced at the time of the previous sale, to ensure perfect condition it underwent a full overhaul again in September 2025. Thanks to meticulous servicing, the operation of all controls is smooth and precise, with excellent rangefinder coupling.
On the glass, there is a single cleaning mark on the edge of an inner element and very slight coating wear, but there is no haze or fungus. The lens is clear with excellent transparency, and test results were very good.
An aftermarket protective filter and both front and rear caps are included.
