Alpa 11si. The top cover features a black crinkle finish and the bottom cover is finished in black paint. This is the final Alpa model and the most popular one, known for its ease of use and high reliability. The 11si was produced between 1976 and 1989, with 412 units in silver chrome and 768 units in black chrome or black paint finish. The black version exists in both crinkle finish and black chrome variations.
The 11si replaced the CdS cell of its predecessor, the 11el, with an SPD sensor that offered a wider metering range and quicker response. In addition, the exposure display was improved with three-color LEDs. The small traffic light-like lamps that glow faintly in the finder or on the top cover add a charming touch. It is truly a delightful exposure system.
This example is a European specification without the crest on the front of the pentaprism, giving it a clean and cool appearance. The body number and the bottom plate serial number match.
The included original box also has a matching serial number, confirming that this piece was sold as a body-only unit. A fine choice for any collection.

Some light wear and shine can be seen on the top of the pentaprism and the corners of the top cover, but overall it remains in very nice condition.
It was serviced by a professional technician in August 2025, including greasing, focus adjustment, and exposure meter calibration.
The exposure meter uses a 4LR44 battery. It behaves much like spot metering and operates properly. However, the spring contact at the back of the battery compartment is compressed, leaving a slight gap to the positive terminal. Aluminum foil has been inserted to bridge the distance, and the meter functions without issue.
It comes with the original matching box, inner box, a multilingual quick manual (French, German, English, Italian, and Spanish), and the dedicated strap lugs, which are hard to obtain separately.
