※About rarity

The final model of the Barnack Leica series, the Leica IIIg. Leitz product code is GOOEF.
Serial number is in the 870,000 range, manufactured in 1957. This was the golden age of postwar Leitz, when many iconic Leica models such as the Leica MP, M3 Black Paint, and military Olive models appeared in the late 1950s.
No expense was spared in its design and manufacturing, and the exceptional build quality is something to admire even just by looking at it.
It incorporates Leica M3 technology, including parallax correction and built-in bright frames for 50mm and 90mm lenses.
The viewfinder is remarkably clear, and in terms of usability, it stands out as the most user-friendly of all Barnack Leicas.

This item was previously sold by our store and has now returned after being carefully used by its owner.
There are faint linear scratches near the accessory shoe, serial number area, and base plate, with some signs of use around the film advance lever and strap lugs. Additionally, there are a few tiny pinpoint marks near the film advance and shutter button on the back. However, there are no dings, dents, or exposed brass, making it a very clean example overall.
The original vulcanite covering is well preserved and offers a smooth, pleasant grip.
The camera was overhauled in 2024 prior to its last sale, and the film advance, shutter, self-timer, and all functions continue to operate smoothly.
The viewfinder remains bright and clear, with good contrast in the rangefinder patch.
A beautiful body, ideal for practical use.
