This high-resolution semi-wide-angle lens was developed to exceed the limitations of traditional lenses, representing Leica's ambitious engineering achievement.
It consists of 10 elements in 5 groups, incorporating three aspherical lenses—one of which is double-sided, resulting in a total of four aspherical surfaces. Remarkably for a wide-angle lens, it also features apochromatic correction.
While the minimum focusing distance with rangefinder coupling is 0.7 meters, live view shooting enables close-up photography down to 0.3 meters. This makes digital Leica shooting highly flexible.
Even at close range, the image remains distortion-free and exceptionally crisp—performance that surpasses expectations for a 35mm lens.
The included hood shows only a minimal loss of paint at the front edge, rated at 94% condition. The lens body itself is in like-new condition, exceptionally clean throughout.
All functions operate properly. Rangefinder coupling is spot-on, and the test shots delivered excellent results.
The glass is in superb condition—clear and free of haze or scratches.
Comes with a 13030 UVa filter, dedicated hood, front and rear caps, leather case, instruction manual, purchase certificate, and inspection certificate. Please note that the upper padding inside the leather case is missing.
This lens was purchased by the previous owner at the Leica Store Munich in February 2025, and the manufacturer warranty remains valid until February 2027. You can use it with peace of mind.
