Nikkor-T 10.5cm f4, commonly known as the Mountain Nikkor. Introduced in 1960, it was one of the last lenses designed for the Nikon S series. It has a 3-element, 3-group construction, with a filter size of 34.5mm.
Although f4 was considered rather slow even at the time, this allowed the lens to be lightweight and compact. In practice, it provides sufficient brightness for outdoor photography. The actual measured weight is 258g, which is only about half that of the Nikon S Nikkor 105mm f2.5.
While not as small as Leica’s Mountain Elmar, it is compact enough to fit in the corner of a camera bag. Ideal for travel or hiking. A somewhat rare lens.
Near mint condition with no signs of use. A beautiful piece. The included hood shows only minimal signs of handling.
Aperture and helicoid function properly, and rangefinder coupling is accurate. The helicoid operation feels somewhat heavy (optional paid servicing is available upon request).
The glass is clear with no haze or cleaning marks, offering superb optical clarity.
Comes with matching serial number original box, warranty card, inspection certificate, genuine hood, and original front and rear caps. A perfect addition to any collection.
