A compact Leica born from the collaboration between Leitz and Minolta, the Leica CL.
Serial number in the 1.32 million range. Manufactured in 1973/74.
It features a 40mm viewfinder frame for the standard Summicron-C lens and a vertical-travel shutter, employing mechanisms that differ from those of the M series. The viewfinder also includes 50mm and 90mm framelines, fully supporting genuine Leitz lenses.
Compact yet well equipped with all the essential functions, this is a classic camera whose true appeal becomes clear the more you use it. Ideal as a second body, yet more than capable of serving as a main camera as well. A truly satisfying camera to live with.
Only very minor loss of black paint can be seen on the corners of the base plate; for a CL intended for regular use, this is a remarkably clean example. There are no dents or impacts, and paint wear on the strap lugs is barely noticeable.
Overhauled in December 2025. All operations have been finished to a very smooth feel, and the exposure meter is working correctly. The viewfinder is bright and clear, with good contrast in the rangefinder patch.
A clean, user-grade body—use it to the fullest!
