The minimum focusing distance is 0.8 meters, making it especially useful when you want to get closer to your subject. On this particular lens, rangefinder coupling is accurate throughout the full focus range, from the hard stop at approximately 0.7m to infinity.

There is some minor black paint loss on the hood edge, aperture ring, and focusing ring, but overall the exterior shows little sign of use and remains in very nice condition.
It underwent a full overhaul, including focus adjustment, in 2022. Thanks to meticulous servicing, the aperture and helicoid still operate very smoothly.
The built-in hood Summilux 75mm 2nd version is known for issues like back focus and mid-range defocus, often showing poor rangefinder coupling. However, this particular unit has been precisely adjusted and now couples perfectly with the rangefinder—from the closest focusing distance to infinity, it remains spot on even at full aperture.
The lens has a faint sign of coating degradation on an inner element, but this does not affect actual image performance. There are no visible cleaning marks or haze, and the glass is beautifully clear.
