Close-up device for Elmar 50mm, NOOKY. Designed exclusively for Barnack Leica cameras.
This piece is the version with the wider viewfinder frame, compatible with Leica IIIb to IIIf (not usable on the IIIg). By mounting it between the camera and the Elmar, it enables close focusing down to about 50 cm (1:6.5).
Only the Elmar 50mm f3.5 lens can be used, and it must be attached with the lens in the collapsed position. The frame moves in accordance with the helicoid rotation angle, compensating for parallax in a truly remarkable construction.

Faint circular wear can be seen on the nameplate, but the chrome finish still shines beautifully, making this NOOKY very attractive.
The helicoid (focusing ring) moves smoothly.
