The current MP model debuted in 2002, and this unit, with a serial number in the 2.89 million range, was manufactured in the launch year.
It features a built-in light meter and a 0.72x viewfinder magnification.
This model faithfully carries on the tradition of Leica’s M series and remains a highly popular camera even today.

There are only very minor scuffs on the strap lugs and mount area, but overall this is a very clean example. No noticeable dings or dents are present.
It was overhauled in July 2025. All operations, including the shutter and light meter, are working smoothly. The rangefinder image also shows good contrast.
Everything is functioning well. While the original box and papers are not included, this should be a great choice for anyone seeking a top-condition unit with a recent overhaul.
