Plaubel Makina 67. Uses 120 film and takes 10 exposures. A lightweight and compact medium format camera equipped with a Nikkor 80mm f2.8 lens featuring a 4-group, 6-element optical design.
Originally a prestigious German manufacturer, the Plaubel brand was revived in 1979 after being dormant, when it was acquired by the Japanese camera retailer Doi. The camera was designed by Konica, and the lens was fitted with a Nikkor at the request of Doi’s president.
With its refined design, ease of use, and the excellent image quality of the Nikkor lens, the camera has continued to grow in popularity over the years.
It uses two LR44 batteries for the light meter. The filter diameter is 58mm.
This item was previously sold by our store and has returned once again after being carefully used by its former owner. This marks the fifth time it has come back—truly a legendary returnee among our well-known comeback items!
The finder prism was re-coated in 2018, and in 2022, the rangefinder and light meter were adjusted, along with replacement of the light seals. This camera has seen plenty of action in the hands of its successive owners.
All functions operate smoothly, and the light meter is working properly. The viewfinder is crisp and clear, free from haze.
Cosmetically, there is some paint loss on the film advance lever and scuffing near the strap lugs and top plate, but otherwise, it is in clean condition with no notable scratches. Importantly, it does not exhibit the common cracking often seen on Makina 67 bodies.
The lens glass is bright and clear, with no haze or cleaning marks—making it a solid choice for practical use in attractive condition.
Included are a Kenko SL filter, original hood, cap, and grip. The easily breakable original cap is intact with no cracks.
The original hood shows some paint wear and slight deformation at the edge, but it remains fully functional.
With the added grip, this camera is ready to go straight into action!
