Hexanon 200mm f3.5 manufactured by Konishiroku. Dedicated mount for the Konica F. An extremely rare lens, believed to have seen almost no distribution. Optical construction of 5 elements in 5 groups, with coating. The aperture is of the preset type.
Production of the Konica F began in November 1959 and is said to have ended in March 1961. The total production was approximately 900 units, of which about 800 were exported to the United States.
An article published in 1960 announced a lineup of 200mm, 400mm, and 800mm telephoto lenses for the Konica F, but it seems they were not ready for actual sales. This 200mm f3.5 appears to have been released in extremely small numbers, making it an exceptionally rare lens.
The serial number of this example ends with 0002. Having only seen other units with serial numbers within the first few digits, it is assumed that production was extremely limited.
A rare item.
There are slight scuffs, but overall it shows minimal signs of use and remains in clean condition.
The glass has a few very light cleaning marks on the front element, minor coating deterioration, and some dust inside, but overall it is in good optical condition.
Both the aperture and focusing helicoid operate smoothly.
Comes with the original hood, front and rear caps, a UV filter, and a handmade-looking Konica F to Sony E mount adapter.
