It features a 4-group, 6-element double Gauss optical design with apochromatic correction. The lens delivers crisp, high-resolution rendering even at full aperture, with a distinctive, slightly restless bokeh that enhances the overall image character. Strong contrast and rich tonal gradation make for stunning image quality that draws you in.

The custom-made aluminum spacer ring and aperture control ring feature finely crafted knurling, resulting in an exceptionally elegant finish.

Additionally, it comes with a beautifully made, one-off custom hood that incorporates a UV filter—originally commissioned by a previous owner. French lenses like this are often difficult to pair with proper hoods or filters, but this setup allows you to use it with confidence.

Weighing in at just 140g and measuring approximately 53mm from the mount flange, this Kinoptik 50mm is compact and lightweight—perfect for casual outings.

This lens, previously sold by our store, has returned once again—carefully used and still in the same excellent condition as before. This marks its fourth time being offered for sale.

In 2020, it underwent a full overhaul and was converted to Leica L mount. Both the aperture and helicoid operate with remarkable smoothness. Thanks to meticulous servicing, the rangefinder coupling is spot-on throughout the entire focus range.

The glass is clear and bright, with only an extremely faint cleaning mark on the front element and no haze.
