This is a carefully converted lens: the head of a pre-war Dallmeyer Kinematograph 2-inch f/1.9 cinema lens, now adapted to Leica L mount with full rangefinder coupling.

It delivers the signature character of Dallmeyer cine lenses—intense, creamy bokeh in the outer areas, dramatic swirling bokeh depending on focus distance, and strikingly sharp resolution at the center. Truly a lens that turns image-making into art, offering a unique and expressive visual world.

This is an item previously sold by our store—now back with us after being carefully cherished by its owner. Remarkably, this is the sixth time we’ve had the pleasure of offering this lens for sale!

During its third sale, we performed a full overhaul to ensure optimal condition and commissioned a one-off aluminum spacer ring to reconvert it for Leica rangefinder coupling.
The result is a stunningly clean finish that looks almost like a factory original. The aperture and helicoid operate with a satisfyingly smooth, well-damped feel, and the rangefinder coupling is impressively accurate.

The glass is clear, with no noticeable cleaning marks or haze, providing excellent clarity. The original hood causes slight vignetting in the corners, but for front element protection and aesthetic appeal, we recommend keeping it on while shooting.
