Late model reflex housing made by Nippon Kogaku.
This particular unit bears a serial number in the 471xxx range and is equipped with a 45-degree prism finder.
It was designed for use with ultra-telephoto lenses such as the 18cm, 25cm, 35cm, 50cm, and 100cm, as well as with bellows.
The late model was introduced in 1951. Compared to the earlier version, it was made smaller and lighter, and the exterior finish was changed from black paint to a black wrinkle enamel coating.
The shutter release mechanism is quite interesting: pressing the release on the housing simultaneously triggers mirror-up and transmits the shutter actuation via a cable connected to the camera body’s shutter button.
The black wrinkle enamel finish is exceptionally beautiful, showing no signs of use.
The black paint around the Fuji emblem also appears untouched, as if in unused condition.
All functions operate properly.
Comes with the necessary cable releases and the original box with matching serial number.
The exterior of the box shows some wear.
