The original Thambar, released in 1935, was Leitz’s only soft-focus lens.
This modern reissue faithfully reproduces the unique, beautifully dreamy rendering that made the original so distinctive.

Its special construction intentionally utilizes optical aberrations to create a soft, ethereal look.

Attaching the included center filter allows for an even softer rendering.

Please note that this modern Thambar does not have interchangeable compatibility with parts from the original version.
