Classic 50mm viewfinder for Leica. Product code: SBOOI, later changed to 12015.

A masterpiece of Leitz design, overflowing with simple functional beauty. It offers superb clarity—among the best in its class.

This particular unit is an earlier version, marked 5cm with lowercase lettering.

We’ve identified nearly eight variations of the SBOOI, and this one features a black-painted eyepiece, a single set screw on the shoe, and knurled grips on both sides of the viewfinder body for improved handling.

The black paint on the edge near the eyepiece is slightly worn, and there is a small dent on the top of the finder near the eyepiece. These are unfortunate marks on an otherwise clean and well-preserved piece.

The glass is clear and crisp, delivering the superb clarity that the SBOOI is known for.
