A FISON made by E. Leitz New York. A lens hood for the Elmar 50mm. It is made of brass with chrome plating, and is engraved E. Leitz N.Y. and Elmar 50mm.

There are several variations of New York Leitz hoods for the Elmar 50mm. Many have a shape similar to the original Leitz FISON, but this example closely resembles the FLQOO hood for the Elmar 35mm / Summaron 35mm. There is also a black paint version with the same shape.

With a simpler design than the standard FISON, it may actually suit a wider variety of lenses. A rather uncommon hood.

There is some light rubbing on the chrome-plated finish, but no dents or impact marks are visible. Mounting has been tested.
