Dedicated hood for the legendary Summilux 35mm f1.4 1st, commonly known as the Steel Rim. This hood is renowned not only for its function but also for its elegant appearance when mounted. Leica product code is OLLUX, and the later code is 12522H. Often referred to as Ollux in the collector community.

This item is the early version with the OLLUX engraving (later versions are marked 12522H), specifically the second variant with arrow engravings on both sides. Its stylish design and precise craftsmanship enhance both the performance and look of the early Summilux lens.

The hood attaches by two internal tabs that lock into the groove around the outer edge of the Steel Rim front. To remove it, twist the hood along the circumference.

There is a very slight scuff mark on the front edge of the hood, but overall it is in near-unused condition.
Confirmed to fit the lens properly.
Just like the lens, this is a rare hood. A beautiful match for a steel-rim lens.
