※About rarity

125th anniversary model for Sieberhegner, released in 1990 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Siebel Hegner, Leica’s official distributor in Japan. Only 125 units were produced, and this particular camera is number 61, as engraved on the accessory shoe. The serial number is in the 1.77 million range.

The base model is the Leica M6 Panda, featuring a chrome body accented with black chrome components, including the film advance lever, shutter speed dial, rewind crank, frame selector lever, and R lever. It comes with a 0.72x viewfinder, displaying six brightline frame options for 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 90mm, and 135mm lenses.

The M6 series remains one of Leica’s most refined and well-balanced models, so much so that Leica has recently revived it as a current-production model.

For those who appreciate having something unique and distinguished, this exclusive edition offers both historical significance and timeless functionality.

It emains in exceptionally clean condition, showing no visible signs of use. At first glance, it has the appearance of a brand-new camera, making it an excellent choice for collectors as well.
In 2023, it underwent a full overhaul, ensuring that all controls still operate with remarkable smoothness. The light meter functions accurately, and the viewfinder remains crystal clear, providing a distraction-free shooting experience. With its flawless usability and timeless design, this camera allows you to fully immerse yourself in photography.
