Tele-Elmar 135mm f/4, second-generation model with built-in hood. Unlike the earlier version, this one features a noticeably more modern and streamlined design.
Leitz product code: 11861. Serial number in the 3,720,000 range, manufactured in 1995. Among Leica M-mount rangefinder-coupled lenses, this has the longest focal length. Minimum focusing distance is 1.5 meters.
It features a built-in hood and uses E46 filters. Though the long barrel can be somewhat bulky when carried on the camera, it comes with a dedicated case—an appreciated addition.
The lens shows virtually no signs of use and has an exceptionally clean appearance.
The aperture ring has a satisfying click, and the helicoid moves smoothly. Rangefinder coupling is accurate throughout the full focusing range, from minimum distance to infinity, even at full aperture.
The glass is perfectly clear, with no cleaning marks, haze, or other imperfections.
Test shots yielded excellent results.
