This lens hood was released under the Actina brand by Schmidt Shokai, the former official Leica distributor in Japan, specifically for the Summarit 50mm lens.
It attaches to the lens via a locking screw, and being a slip-on type, it can be mounted with an E41 filter already in place.
It weighs approximately 31g (measured). Compared to the genuine XOONS hood, which has a more substantial feel, this one offers a cleaner, more streamlined look that pairs naturally with the Summarit both in color and silhouette.
Solidly built with a refined finish, it has a presence that rivals genuine accessories.
Also compatible with the Xenon 50mm.

The chrome-plated surface shows a fair number of light scuff marks, but there are no noticeable scratches or dents.
