Optical construction consists of 9 elements in 7 groups. The coating features a combination of green and purple hues.
Its striking design features a wide-angle square hood and an extra-thick cylindrical barrel, making it quite visually impactful. However, despite its somewhat rugged appearance, this lens delivers exceptional image quality, making it a legendary performer.
With a minimum focusing distance of 30cm, it offers excellent close-up capabilities, significantly expanding creative possibilities.
The exterior shows some minor paint loss on the edges of the helicoid and aperture rings, but overall, it is in clean, practical condition—just right for regular use.
Fully overhauled in 2024, this lens has been thoroughly refreshed. The aperture ring and helicoid operate smoothly with just the right amount of torque, providing an excellent handling experience.
The lens coating shows slight deterioration, visible only under strong LED light, but there are no cleaning marks or haze—the glass remains crystal clear. A pleasure to use, this Slim Summicron is in great shape.
