Micro-Nikkor 50mm f3.5 for Nikon S series. Released in 1956. It features a 4-group, 5-element optical design with a collapsible barrel. Filter thread is 34.5mm screw-in.

This was the first 35mm-format Nikon lens to carry the Micro-NIKKOR name, originally designed for microfilm reproduction. With an astonishing resolution of 300 lines per millimeter, it remains a high-performance lens even by today’s standards. Every time we conduct a test shoot in our shop, its imaging performance continues to impress us.

Only about 1,200 units were produced in total across both Nikon rangefinder and Leica screw mount versions, making it a relatively rare lens.

This item has returned to us after being previously sold. It was treated with great care and remains in the same beautiful condition as when we sold it before. There are hardly any signs of use. The chrome finish retains its brilliant shine, and the collapsible section is exceptionally clean. We recommend using it without collapsing, if possible, to preserve its superb condition.

It underwent a full overhaul in 2023. Thanks to meticulous servicing, the operational feel of each component remains smooth and satisfying. The internal matte black coating to reduce internal reflections was also carefully reapplied, promising even more crisp and contrasted rendering.

The lens shows a few extremely faint cleaning marks on the rear element, but they have virtually no effect on image quality. The rest of the glass is clear and free from haze, offering a crisp viewing experience.

In actual shooting tests, it delivered the stunningly detailed rendering that Micro-Nikkor lenses are known for—images so precise, they almost take your breath away.

Comes with an original Fujiyama-marked front cap and a plastic storage case.
