This is an exceptional Hasselblad 500C/M, a Swedish-made medium format camera in pristine condition. It comes with a T-coated Planar C 80mm f/2.8*, a beautifully preserved lens from 1971 that fits seamlessly with the body. The camera body and magazine are matching in serial numbers, and even the original outer box is included. All components date back to 1981.
Introduced in 1970, the 500C/M remained in production until 1989, making it a long-standing classic. As an improved version of the 500C, it introduced key refinements, such as an interchangeable focusing screen, elevating it to a near-final form in the V-system lineup.
This particular unit shows virtually no signs of use, making it an exceptionally rare find in such a pristine state. Cameras in this condition rarely surface. While it remains fully functional, taking it out for shooting might feel like a waste, making it a perfect collector’s piece.
The body, lens, and magazine are all in exceptionally clean condition, so pristine that it could almost be called new. Given that Hasselblads are typically used as professional workhorses, finding one in this state is nearly unheard of. Honestly, it's the kind of piece that makes you want to hold onto it rather than sell. LoL
In March 2025, the lens, camera body, and magazine were fully overhauled by a professional technician. Every function operates smoothly, and the iconic Hasselblad shutter sound is as crisp and satisfying as ever. The Planar 80mm lens is in outstanding optical condition, free from haze or cleaning marks, with perfectly clear glass.
Included with this rare find is the matching serial-numbered outer box for the body and magazine (the lens has a different serial number), the original inner box, a Japanese instruction manual, two Schriro-branded bookmarks, and a front lens cap.
A truly remarkable collector’s piece in an unparalleled condition.
