※About rarity

Leica M4 – Original Black Paint, Unused Leitz product code: 10402. Serial number: 1266xxx, shipped on June 11, 1970.
All components, including the vulcanite covering, are in completely original condition.

This is an unused piece that has been carefully preserved by a collector for many years. The warranty card and original box are included, both with matching serial numbers.

There are absolutely no signs of use. The top plate and base plate still retain their original matte sheen, almost powder-like in appearance.
The crinkle paint beside the back door and the vulcanite body covering both have a clean, dry texture—fresh to the touch.

Notably, the L seal at the 12 o’clock position on the lens mount—a detail often faked—is present and authentic.

This exceptionally rare unused piece has not been serviced, intentionally left untouched to preserve its value as a collector’s item.

A like-new item with no signs of use. There is absolutely no wear around the strap lugs or rewind crank. The screw heads across the body remain pristine.
The original box shows some signs of handling, but the camera itself is in exceptional condition.

Film advance and shutter operation are both functioning perfectly.
As the camera has not been serviced, there is some haze visible in the viewfinder, but no signs of fungus. With future servicing, the clarity can be easily restored.

An incredibly rare black paint M4—the only step above this would be a completely unopened example.
