Made by Rollei-Werke Franke & Heidecke in Germany, this is the final version of the legendary twin-lens reflex camera—the Rolleiflex 2.8F, commonly referred to as the "White Face" model, distinguished by its clean, white-finished lens surround. It remains one of the most sought-after versions of the 2.8F.
The taking lens is a Schneider Xenotar 80mm f/2.8, and the camera features a built-in light meter.
This particular unit has been well-maintained with thorough servicing and retains an exceptionally clean exterior. It also comes with a rich set of accessories, making it a standout example in both condition and completeness.
There is some slight waviness in the black-painted area below the film counter, but otherwise, the body shows minimal signs of use and remains in excellent condition. This is a superb example of the "White Face" Rolleiflex 2.8F, retaining much of the feel of a brand-new camera from its original era. Simply opening the focusing hood, raising the advance lever, and placing it on a table is enough to appreciate its masterful craftsmanship.
Professionally overhauled by a specialist in May 2025. All operations, including the key mechanism of any Rollei—the film advance crank—are smooth and precise. The light meter is also functioning accurately.
There is a single cleaning mark near the edge of an internal element, and the rear element of the taking lens shows some faint haze due to coating deterioration around the perimeter. However, the central area is clear, and these issues are unlikely to affect image quality.
Included is a period-correct outer and inner box (though the serial numbers do not match), English manual, diffuser, and a well-preserved leather case with strap. A set well suited not only for use, but also for collection.
