Leica’s zoom lens hood for 35/50/90/135mm lenses — the FIKUS. Designed for 36mm slip-on mounts (A36). This version features the earlier, simpler engraving style up to Elmar 5cm. While unmarked, when the outer hood is fully retracted, it can also accommodate the Elmar 35mm and Hektor 50mm lenses.

The FIKUS hood was introduced in 1933 with a black paint and nickel finish and remained in production until around 1965, making it a long-selling accessory. This particular example is the chrome-plated version, which later transitioned to a satin chrome finish.

Capable of covering four different focal lengths, it’s a practical hood that helps save space in your camera bag.

The brass base metal is subtly visible along the edges, and there are light scuffs throughout the surface, but no noticeable dents or deep scratches. The chrome finish retains a nice shine, giving it an overall attractive appearance.

The inner paint is well preserved, so there’s no concern about internal reflections.
