This particular unit has minimal signs of use and presents a clean appearance. Both the body and lens have been serviced. It comes complete with the original box and genuine hood, making it a camera that can be thoroughly enjoyed both for shooting and display.
There are a few light scuff marks on the base plate and edges, but overall this is a very clean example of the Nikon SP. A camera that you can enjoy using with confidence.
In July 2025, the shutter was inspected, the helicoid regreased, and the viewfinder and rangefinder were disassembled and cleaned, with rangefinder adjustment also performed.
As typical for the SP, the sub-finder shows some cloudiness due to balsam separation, resulting in a slightly hazy view. However, the main finder is clear with no haze, offering sharp visibility and strong contrast in the rangefinder patch.
The Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens has undergone a full overhaul. As is common, there is minimal balsam separation along the edge of the rear element, but it has no impact on image quality. Other than that, the glass is clean and clear, with no noticeable scratches or haze.
Comes with the original box, Nikon-branded vinyl bag, lens hood, front lens cap, Japanese instruction manual, and cleaning cloth.
