※About rarity

Summicron-R 35mm f/2, early version.
This lens was designed for the Leicaflex SL. Leica product code: 11227.
Serial number in the 2.4 million range, manufactured in 1970. This is one of the first 2,000 units produced as part of the first lot, made by Leitz Canada.
Features 2 cams and an optical design of 9 elements in 7 groups.

Despite its rather rugged appearance—with a thick cylindrical barrel and angular wide-angle hood—it is a truly legendary lens capable of delivering exceptionally beautiful rendering.
With a minimum focusing distance of just 30 cm, it also excels in close-up photography, making it a versatile performer that greatly expands your creative possibilities.

There are some scuff marks and paint loss on the front edge of the barrel and corners of the helicoid, but overall, the exterior remains in relatively good condition.
Fully overhauled in March 2025. Thanks to careful servicing, both the aperture and helicoid now offer a smooth, well-damped operation.
The glass is clean and clear, with only minimal wipe marks and no haze.
Test shots delivered excellent results.
