A masterpiece of minimalist functional design, this viewfinder exemplifies Leitz craftsmanship—with exceptional clarity and brilliance.

This particular piece is a later version, featuring 50mm in capital letters, giving it a more modern appearance.

Among the roughly eight known variations of the SBOOI that we’ve documented, this one is characterized by a black-painted eyepiece, a single set screw on the accessory shoe, and knurled grips on both sides of the finder body for added handling ease.

There is a pinpoint-sized mark on the knurled area on the left side (when viewed from the eyepiece), but overall, the viewfinder shows very little signs of use and has a beautifully clean appearance.

The glass is clear and crisp, offering the superb clarity that the SBOOI is known for.
