An early Nikon S2, serial number in the 6,170,000 range. White dial version with feet scale.
Released in 1954, the S2 was an evolution of the Nikon S, designed to be more practical and user-friendly—a classic that reveals its true charm the more you use it.
The viewfinder features a built-in 50mm bright frame. While it lacks automatic parallax correction, the 1.0x magnification is a welcome feature. And of course, the old-style Nikon logo is simply irresistible.
There is one small dent on the corner of the bottom plate near the film speed indicator. Aside from that, the body is in remarkably clean condition—especially considering that most S2 units show heavy use.
Inspected and adjusted in January 2025. Fully functional, with the crisp, distinctive shutter sound that defines the S2. The viewfinder is bright and clear.
There is a slight misalignment between the triangle marker and shutter speed numbers on the speed dial, but it remains well within practical usability.
A well-priced, reliable choice for everyday use.
