Released in 2004 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Summicron's debut, this is a limited edition model with only 1,000 units produced worldwide. Leica catalog number: 11615. The lens features a chrome barrel and a 4-group, 6-element design. The minimum focusing distance is 0.7 meters.
This model is a tribute to the later version of the original fixed barrel Summicron. It features a filter thread size of E39 and omits the infinity lock lever, giving it a more modern finish. The body weighs 260g (for reference, the later version of the first fixed barrel weighs 250g).
Its design is perfectly suited not only for digital Leica cameras but also for current Leica M film cameras, making it an excellent match for both.
In like-new condition with no signs of use. Outstanding condition.
Full overhaul completed in 2024 by the previous owner. The operation of the aperture and helicoid rings is exceptionally smooth, as if it's a brand-new experience. Rangefinder coupling is perfect.
The glass is free of any haze or wipe marks, providing excellent clarity.
Comes with all the original accessories: the dedicated front cap, 13132 UVa filter, rear cap, dedicated 12585 hood, hood cap, leather case, original warranty, inspection certificate, manual, and original box. A perfect addition for a collection!
