Flashback Camera proudly presents the FB-07 lens hood for the Elmar 50mm f3.5. This model is compatible with the A36 version of the Elmar 50mm and Elmar 35mm lenses.

This particular version features retaining screws made from raw brass.

While the Leica FISON hood requires cumbersome aperture adjustments, the VALOO for enlarging lacks aesthetic appeal, and the VOOLA aperture ring is not the most user-friendly. The rare Cooke & Perkins hood offers great aesthetics and tactile feel but is extremely hard to find. There was no definitive solution for an Elmar hood—until now! Our store has designed and manufactured this hood specifically for the Elmar 50mm lenses.

From the early Elmar on the Leica A model to the Red Elmar, this hood is compatible with all A36-threaded Elmars, allowing you to adjust the aperture even while the hood is attached.

All Made in Japan, showcasing the craftsmanship of skilled artisans.

The design and development were handled by the team known for their release mechanisms. Every step, from manufacturing and processing to painting, has been carried out by skilled craftsmen in Japan. The final assembly and greasing were done at a renowned repair workshop in Ginza.

Due to variations in the diameter, aperture knob height, width, and rotation angle across different Elmar manufacturing years, we spent over a year testing prototypes to ensure compatibility with all models. The result is a product with no compromises in quality. The retaining screws are engraved with the FLASHBACK "F" logo.

Please note that this hood is not compatible with Elmars that have stiff aperture operation or warped nameplates.
