Lens hood for Summarit 50mm f1.5, XOONS. Later code 12520. Made of brass with black crinkle finish, showcasing superb craftsmanship. It has a sense of weight and solidity rarely seen in modern industrial products.
Not only for the Summarit, but it also fits the Leitz Xenon 50mm.
Although it appears rather bulky for a 50mm hood, when mounted on a compact Barnack body it looks surprisingly neat, allowing you to feel Leica’s refined sense of design.

There are a few small areas of paint loss along the edge of the mount, though they are not very noticeable due to the black crinkle finish. Some rubbing can also be seen on the inner bottom surface of the hood, but overall there are no exposed brass areas, and the piece remains in clean condition. No dents or distortion are present.
A well-kept example, suitable for practical use.
