Lens hood for the Elmar 50mm, FISON. Black version. A36 size slip-ion type.
This item is a rare all-aluminum version with black paint. The spring plate that attaches to the lens is also made of aluminum. It is very lightweight, weighing approximately 9.6g. The set screw is chrome plated.
The rear side has a Germany engraving. According to Flashback’s own criteria (lol), the more characters, the cooler it is for Leitz hoods, and this one ranks high. A rare item.
The Elmar 5cm engraving is filled with white paint, making it a rare find.
There is very slight paint loss on the edges of the hood, both at the tip and base, but the outer black coating remains intact. There is a small dent and slight distortion just above the "Germany" engraving, but it does not affect usability. For a hood of this type, it is in good condition.
It has been confirmed to fit on an A36 Elmar.
