The Leica M3 is widely regarded as the finest rangefinder camera ever made. It propelled Leica to the top of the postwar camera world and stands as a true milestone in photographic history.
If your main lens is 50mm, this remains one of the best Leica choices even today. Loved by photographers and journalists worldwide, it has captured countless historic moments.
This particular unit has been carefully overhauled and refreshed, making it a camera you’ll want to keep using for years to come.
There are some light point-like scuffs and shiny marks visible on the top cover depending on the lighting, but all are very shallow. The base plate also shows only minimal surface wear. Other than that, the camera is in clean condition. The back door is particularly clean, and the vulcanite covering is completely original.
Overhauled in July 2025, including shutter curtain replacement. All operations are smooth, the viewfinder is bright and clear, and the rangefinder’s double image shows strong contrast with no fading.
A late-model M3 in just the right condition—fully serviced and ready for worry-free use. A perfect choice for practical shooting.
