Like many other classics, even the reigning TLR king Rolleiflex underwent cost-cutting measures in subsequent years, leading to progressively simpler exteriors. However, the craftsmanship of this era is truly remarkable.
With a serial number in the 2.46 million range, this unit was manufactured between 1966 and 1968. It features a built-in coupled exposure meter for ease of use. The finder hood is detachable, and the finder screen is the original split-image type with grid lines.
It has been thoroughly serviced and is in excellent working condition. This exceptionally clean 2.8F comes with a full set of accessories, making it a superb addition to any collection or for active use.
With minimal signs of use, this Rolleiflex boasts an exceptionally clean exterior. There are no notable scratches or dings, and even the typically vulnerable area around the winding crank shows only slight scuffs, maintaining a beautiful overall condition.
Fully overhauled (OH) by a professional in December 2024, all mechanisms are in excellent working order. The shutter and aperture dials operate smoothly, and the winding crank—a key component of Rolleiflex handling—functions with a refined, light touch. The built-in exposure meter is fully operational and displays accurate readings.
The front element of the Planar 6-element lens shows a few faint cleaning marks and slight coating wear, common to this model, but the glass remains clean overall.
Included accessories are the exposure meter diffuser, plastic cap, German instruction manual, a nearly new leather strap, leather case, original box, and an outer cardboard box (with a mismatched serial number). The leather case shows only minimal signs of use.
