A compact size that fits perfectly in the hand, with an elegant and calming presence created by the black paint and nickel finish. It features strap lugs, a built-in rangefinder with diopter adjustment, and slow shutter speeds, making it a highly refined and functional Barnack Leica, excellent for practical use. The maximum shutter speed is 1/500 sec.
Pair it with a nickel-plated lens, and it becomes both a joy to shoot with and a pleasure to admire. The Leica DIII has long been cherished by enthusiasts, appealing to a deep sense of aesthetics and nostalgia.
With a recent overhaul, this camera has been refreshed and fine-tuned. Though it has been nearly 90 years since its manufacture, it remains in full working condition, ready for use.
There is a small dent near the tripod socket on the edge of the baseplate. Additionally, there are minor scuffs, scratches, and some paint loss on the edges, but overall, it is in great condition for practical use.
Overhauled in March 2025, this camera has been carefully serviced for smooth operation. The film advance feels satisfying, the shutter sound is gentle and resonant, and the viewfinder remains clear with a well-defined rangefinder patch.
A perfectly usable classic, ready to be put to work and enjoyed to the fullest.
