※About rarity

Leica DIII. Serial number: 140,000 range, manufactured in 1934.
Leitz product code: AFOOV. Finished in black paint & nickel plating. Known internationally as the Model F or Leica III.

A compact size that fits perfectly in the hand, with a calm and elegant aesthetic created by the black paint and nickel finish. It features strap lugs, a built-in rangefinder with diopter adjustment, and slow shutter speeds, making it a highly refined and functional Barnack Leica suitable for practical use. The maximum shutter speed is 1/500 sec.

Pair it with a nickel-plated lens, and it becomes both a pleasure to shoot with and a joy to admire. The Leica DIII has long been cherished by enthusiasts, appealing to a deep sense of aesthetics and nostalgia.

With a recent overhaul, this camera has been fully refreshed. Despite being over 90 years old, it remains in excellent working condition, ready for use.

There is some paint loss on the edges of the top cover, viewfinder frame, and baseplate, as well as some light scuff marks on the baseplate. However, there are no significant dents or noticeable impact marks, and the paint texture, engravings, and lens mount remain in excellent condition.

Overhauled in February 2025, this camera has been carefully serviced, ensuring smooth operation across all functions. The shutter and film advance feel crisp and responsive, providing a satisfying shooting experience. The viewfinder is clear, with the rangefinder patch displaying a well-defined double image.

A beautifully maintained black & nickel Leica DIII, in prime condition for use.
