※About rarity

Distagon 60mm f5.6. An interchangeable lens for Hasselblad, made by Carl Zeiss. The 60mm lens offers a slightly wide-angle field of view on a 6x6 medium format, making it a versatile focal length. This particular lens was made in West Germany in 1961, with distance markings in meters.

The Distagon f5.6 was one of the earliest lenses made for the 500 series, following its production for the 1000F, but was quickly replaced by the f4 version. It's said that only around 3,000 units were produced, including both the f5.6 and the later f4 models, making this lens quite rare in the market.

Although the design is nearly identical to the f4 version, subtle differences can be found in the barrel shape, knurling, and the lettering on the nameplate, giving it a more classical feel reminiscent of the Planar 6-element lenses. The elegant, tapered barrel design combined with the versatile 60mm focal length makes this lens highly sought after by collectors and photographers alike. A rare find.

There are minor scratches and light wear from use, but there are no dents or significant damage. Overall, the lens is in quite good condition.

All functions are operating normally. The helicoid feels a bit heavy, but it’s within acceptable limits (we also offer paid maintenance if desired).

The glass shows slight coating wear, and there are very light cleaning marks on the front element. These should not affect image quality.

The lens comes with the original front cap, HZ (UV) filter, filter ring, and plastic case.
