A classic pre-war model of the Zeiss box camera, the Box Tengor. Model 55/2, manufactured in 1939. Uses 120 film and produces 12 exposures in 6x6 format.
From this model onward, the film advance mechanism became a dial type, and the lens plate was finished with chrome plating, giving it a more modern design. Equipped with a double exposure prevention mechanism.
Although it's a box camera even from the great Zeiss, the image quality is modest as expected. Still, using a camera like this to enjoy a relaxing holiday nearby might be quite pleasant. This is a rather clean and well-preserved example.
There are some scuffs on the exterior, and a dent can be seen near the shutter release at the upper left of the front body.
The viewfinder glass shows some haze.
The taking lens glass is clean, with no visible cleaning marks or haze.
The shutter speed is rather slow, approximately 1/30 second. Please be cautious of camera shake and potential light leaks during shooting.
