※About rarity

Hasselblad SWC, introduced in 1959 as the successor to the SW and SWA.
The body is finished in white chrome, and the distance scale is marked in feet. The lens design is shared with the C lenses of the 500 series, addressing the wobbling issues of the SWA and SW models. The winding mechanism has been upgraded to a crank, improving usability. While focusing is done using a feet-based scale, the depth of field is very deep, so you shouldn't find it limiting. However, be cautious when taking level shots.

Included are the A12 magazine, finder, filter, hood, and hood cap. The original hood has a curved cut at the tip, and the hood cap is by Schneider. The magazine was manufactured in 1983, and the numbers on the magazine body and its contents match. Additionally, the shoe adapter is equipped with a quick coupling plate.

The chrome around the lens barrel and the hood show numerous small scratches from use. Additionally, there is a slight dent on the top of the finder due to impact.

The magazine shows some shrinkage of the leather covering, which is common with SWC models, but the leather on the body remains in good condition.

In August 2024, a specialist performed a thorough check of the body’s operation, and an overhaul of the magazine and finder. Our in-store testing also confirmed that the shutter, aperture, and helicoid are all functioning smoothly.

There is a tiny puncture mark, about the size of a needle tip, on the rear element of the lens, but it is unlikely to affect image quality.

This SWC is not too pristine and ready for use—perfect for putting it through its paces!
