Nikkor-H 5cm f2, a standard lens for the Nikon S series. It features a Sonnar-type construction with 3 groups and 6 elements. A perfect match for later models of the Nikon S2 with the black dial.
At wide open, it produces soft images, but stopping down by about two stops reveals the sharp and crisp rendering typical of Nikkor lenses. It can also be used with mirrorless cameras via an adapter!
There are small bubbles and minor paint loss on the black-painted part of the aperture ring, but there are no dents or dings.
In 2024, the glass was cleaned and the aperture was serviced. While there are fine cleaning marks on the surface coating of the middle element, they should not affect image quality. The lens has passed practical shooting tests with good results.
Comes with a spring-loaded original hood, front cap, and a third-party rear cap.
