Planar 85mm f1.2 MMG. This model was released to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Contax brand. It features T* coating and uses the Yashica Contax mount. Manufactured in Germany. From its wide-open aperture of f1.2, it delivers sharply focused images with a sense of depth, creating a three-dimensional effect. Both color and monochrome images have high contrast and crispness, allowing for enjoyable photography. The attractive blur before and after the point of focus, accompanied by a gently beautiful flare, adds to its charm. This luxurious lens allows you to enjoy both sharpness and softness.
There are minor scuffs and some loss of black paint from use, but it retains a sleek and generally good appearance, including the rubber parts. There is very minor damage to the coating on the glass, but it does not affect actual photography. There are no signs of haze or scratches, making for excellent glass condition. The original P filter, hood, and front and rear caps are included. Examples of shots taken with this lens have been posted in the test gallery. The shallow depth of field characteristic of the 85mm f1.2 lens often results in missed focus, but it adds to the fun of striving for and capturing great images.
