Summicron-M 50mm f2, third-generation. Produced in 1985 by Leitz Canada and underwent a redesign by Mr. Mandler in 1979. , transitioning from 6 elements in 5 groups to 6 elements in 4 groups. Weighing 198g, this lightweight and compact lens boasts a minimum focusing distance of 0.7m and delivers the characteristic Summicron resolution and pleasing bokeh. The filter size is E39. Originally user-friendly, and this lens is sartainly giving comfortable and enjoyable shooting experience. The glass condition is exceptional. The lens barrel retains its deep black luster. Minor abrasions are visible on the included 12538 hood. The lens underwent a full service in 2022, resulting in smooth aperture and helicoid operation. The rangefinder coupling is functional. With its beautiful appearance and pristine glass, this lens exhibits no haze or cleaning marks. It comes with the 12538 hood, hood cap, rear cap, and a matching original box (though the filling for the box is missing). Overall, it’s a remarkable piece suitable for collectors.
