This is a zoom hood for Leica 35mm, 50mm, 90mm, and 135mm lenses, known as FIKUS. It fits 36mm filter threads (A36) and is a rare nickel version. This particular item is engraved not only for the Hektor but also for the Elmar 3.5.
When the outer hood is fully collapsed, it accommodates the Elmar 35mm and Hektor 50mm lenses. If you love using black-painted Barnack models like the DII or DIII along with nickel lenses, this is a must-have hood. It supports four different lens types, making it a great space-saver in your camera bag.
The tip of the hood features silver inlay with the engraving Ernst Leitz Wetzlar and Germany. The nickel FIKUS is a somewhat rare accessory.
The tip of the hood shows some distortion, and the black paint has worn off somewhat in line with its age, but it exudes a wonderful charm. It has been tested for attachment to lenses.
