Summicron 90mm f2 in chrome, second generation. From the later production period. Manufactured in 1960 by Leitz Canada. While the first generation was already impressive in its construction, this one keeps the luxuriness. It features a retractable hood with a beautiful finish. Has the both meters and feet scales. The lens head is detachable, allowing for use with the ZOOEP helicoid in conjunction with the Visoflex system. Comes with a genuine E48 UVa filter. Very clean appearance, almost no signs of use. Fully serviced in March 2024. Helicoid ring moves very smoothly and aperture ring feels well cricking. The aperture blades have been cleaned and are in beautiful condition. Due to its large aperture, many Summicron 90mm lenses tend to have issues with rangefinder coupling, but this one works accurate focusing. The results of testing shootings were good The glass exhibits a few thin hairlines on inner element, and some minor coating deterioration. However, the glass remains clear and in good condition overall.
