Summicron 50mm f2 (L) Rigid
Summicron 50mm f2 in Rigid barrel with Leica screw mount. SOSTA / 11018. Manufactured in 1958. Meter scale. Minimum focusing distance is 1m.
The screw mount lens was manufactured only 1160 units during the era as M type camera is becoming mainstream after M3 was released in 1954.
Looking good with Leica IIIf or a Leica IIIg from the same era bodies, it adds a truly stylish touch. Of course, it can also be used with M-type Leica cameras or digital cameras via an adapter. A rare lens.
It has already been sold in-store. Thank you very much.
Minor scratches observed, but as a fixed barrel Summicron, it's in quite good condition. The silver paint on the knurling is also well preserved.
Fully serviced in March 2024. The aperture ring and helicoid moving smooth. The rangefinder coupling and focusing are also in excellent condition.
Slight coating deterioration and roughness on the front element, along with minimal balsom separation along the edges of the inner element. However, these will hardly affect actual image quality. No haze and the purple and orange coatings remain intact across the entire surface.
